$22.00 - $25.00/Hourly

The Quality Specialist supports the operation of the Quality Department and will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for maintaining and improving quality standards.

What You'll Do:

• Change of Process: Monitor and follow up on changes to manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Gauge Management: Oversee the management of gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in product measurements.
• Calibrations: Coordinate calibrations of equipment and instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability in measurement processes.
• Document Control: Maintain and manage documentation related to quality control procedures, standards, and certifications.
• Product Sampling: Develop and implement sampling plans for products to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
• Supplier Performance: Evaluate and rate supplier performance based on quality metrics and standards.
• Corrective Action: Identify, investigate, and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Auditing: Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Customer Returns: Investigate and address customer returns or complaints related to product quality, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Production Part Approval Process (PPAP): Aid in the PPAP process.

What We Need from You:

• High school degree or GED is required; post-secondary education in related discipline is preferred.
• Must have three (3) years of work experience in a related field with a working knowledge of source inspection methods on various parts.
• Statistical reporting experience is helpful.
• Math, computer, and communication skills are necessary.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficient in precision hand tools and instruments such as calipers, depth micrometers, height gauges, and CMM. Blueprint reading and measuring skills are essential, and knowledge of part inspection is desired.
