Arabic (MSA) Transcription Expert

Role Overview

Help improve next-generation AI systems by producing accurate Modern Standard Arabic transcriptions and richly annotated language data. This remote contract role focuses on turning real-world audio into clear, high-quality training data. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio content in Modern Standard Arabic with exceptional accuracy and fluency.
• Review and correct machine-generated transcripts for accuracy, clarity, and linguistic correctness.
• Add and manage metadata tags and annotations for audio and text data.
• Identify relevant context in audio files and flag linguistic nuances when needed.
• Maintain rigorous quality standards, consistency, and attention to detail.
• Provide clear written and verbal feedback to the customer team on data quality.
• Handle sensitive or proprietary content confidentially.

Qualifications

• Fluent written and spoken Modern Standard Arabic.
• Demonstrated audio transcription experience with a strong record of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience applying metadata tags and annotations to audio or text content.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Ability to identify and correct errors in machine-generated transcriptions.
• Familiarity with transcription guidelines and language-data quality practices.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
• Preferred: experience as an audio engineer, data annotator, or professional transcriber.
• Preferred: experience with linguistic data projects or large-scale transcription work.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $10 to $20 per hour.
