Onsite Psychiatrist

VA Medical Center – Memphis, Tennessee Immediate Opening Coastal Management Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Staff Psychiatrist to support the VA Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee . This is a full-time, on-site position with an immediate need. Position Summary The Staff Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for veteran patients in an integrated healthcare setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality mental health services while supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs’ mission of providing exceptional care to our nation’s veterans. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Possess a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state, territory, commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Hold an M.D.or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school. Be eligible to work in the United States and meet all applicable federal employment requirements. Meet all credentialing and privileging requirements established by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments. Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications as appropriate. Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with VA policies and standards. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and quality improvement initiatives. Provide patient-centered care that promotes recovery, wellness, and quality of life.
