Machine Operator (Straightener) : Freeport , Illinois
Our customer in Freeport, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting a Machine Operator (Straightener) to work full-time on 3rd shift (11:00pm–7:30am). As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring materials meet strict straightness and quality standards through precise machine operation and monitoring.
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator (Straightener) :
- Set up, adjust, and operate straightening equipment for metal bars, tubes, and plates.
- Ensure materials meet precise tolerances and quality specifications.
- Monitor machinery performance and make adjustments to maintain accuracy.
- Inspect finished materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues using strong problem-solving skills.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
- Work collaboratively to meet production deadlines and goals.
Machine Operator (Straightener) Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with complex machinery such as CNC equipment, grinders, drawing machines, or laser machines preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn specialized equipment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to train on 1st shift for 4–8 weeks before transitioning to 3rd shift.
Pay for Machine Operator (Straightener) : Starting at $27/hour.
Machine Operator (Straightener) Benefits:
