The Trailer Technician is a safety sensitive role that will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers and equipment while working safely and efficiently. This may include but is not limited to doors, floors, DOT inspections, wheel end services, and electrical diagnosis.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES• Diagnose and repair issues on tractor-trailers.• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers.• Test equipment and systems for performance.• Perform repairs to brakes, electrical systems, wheel end service, wall panels, etc.• Document repairs.• Establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and vendors.• Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS• High school diploma or GED certificate. Completion of a certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair preferred• At least 1 year or more of professional experience as a trailer technician• Basic computer skills.• Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems.• Excellent interpersonal, organization, logistics, math, and communication skills• Ability to recognize trailer maintenance problems• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations• Experienced and proficient working with diagnostic computers• Knowledge of working on trailers• Excellent customer service skills• Ability to work well with team members in a fast-paced environment• Welding or fabrication experience preferred• Valid driver’s license #J-18808-Ljbffr CrossCountry Dallas, LLC
