Neurologist (MD/DO) Full-Time

Location: Bronx, New York Position Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

A large multispecialty group in New York City is actively seeking a Full-Time Neurologist to provide high-quality, patient-centered neurological care in an outpatient setting in the Bronx. This opportunity is ideal for physicians interested in managing a wide range of neurological conditions while working within a collaborative, well-supported environment.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Evaluation

• Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of neurological conditions including headaches, epilepsy, stroke, neuropathy, and movement disorders.
• Perform comprehensive neurological exams and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EEGs, EMGs, MRIs, and CT scans.

Clinical Management

• Prescribe and manage medications and therapies for both acute and chronic neurological conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Provide follow-up care and continuity for long-term neurological conditions.

Care Coordination & Collaboration

• Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate referrals for advanced care, imaging, and rehabilitation services.

Patient Education

• Educate patients and families on neurological conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications and disease management.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR/EHR systems.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
• Active or eligible for New York State medical license.
• J-1 visa candidates accepted.
• Experience in outpatient neurology preferred; new graduates may be considered.
• Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
