License: Registered Nurse (RN) license in Client Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience in critical care/telemetry nursing, patient assessment, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Description: The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe and competent quality care based on nursing theory and research. This role involves delivering patient care by incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care. The nurse will assess and evaluate patient care needs while applying critical thinking skills in patient care management. Integration of relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care is essential. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team is vital for the development and evaluation of the patient care plan. Prioritizing all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care, is required. Patient and caregiver education about the plan of care, health promotion, and disease prevention is necessary. Effective and professional communication with patients, family members, and all interdisciplinary team members is expected. The nurse will manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing. Practicing safe and efficient patient-centered care while identifying opportunities for improvement is crucial. Demonstration of clinical skills and knowledge relevant to maintaining quality and safety in patient care is required. The nurse will implement process improvement strategies based on evidence-based standards. Engagement in formal and informal peer review processes is necessary. Collaboration with interprofessional teams for quality improvement projects and nursing research studies will be part of the role. The nurse will maintain documentation that meets hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements. Facilitating patient throughput during shifts and performing charge nurse duties as assigned is expected. Professional development through advancing clinical competence and supporting colleagues in nursing practice is encouraged. The nurse will contribute to a respectful and empathetic environment while incorporating ethical principles into decision-making. Participation in shared decision-making through nursing department committees and unit initiatives is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; an associate degree will be considered based on relevant experience and active enrollment in a BSN program.
