Position Title: Retail Clerk

Wage: $16.50/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:00am - 5:30pm

The ideal candidate is a customer-focused retail and food service professional with experience providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, processing orders, stocking merchandise, and preparing and packaging food products. Skilled in cheese cutting, sorting, pizza preparation, gift basket assembly, and using scales, knives, cutters, wrappers, and other packaging materials. Reliable team player with strong attention to detail, food safety awareness, and the ability to stay productive in fast-paced environments while standing for extended periods and handling physical demands.

Retail Clerk Responsibilities:
- Operate cash register by handling various payment methods such as cash, checks, cards, etc.
- Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, tables with new or transferred merchandise
- Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection
- Package orders - stamp, attach, or change price tags on merchandise and orders being displayed in store
- Make gift baskets
- Keep store clean and presentable to customers
- Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, tables with new or transferred merchandise
- Cut, separate cheese, sort bulk cheese curds and assist in making pizzas
- Utilize scales, knives, cutters to complete each order or tasks
- Work with various wrappers and packing materials to package the cheese and pizzas

Requirements for Retail Clerk:
- Able to stand for duration of shift
- Able to lift up 20lbs occasionally and 50lbs rarely
- Able to bend, twist, squat, reach and pull frequently
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to speak to customers and listen to their complaints, requests and orders
- Outstanding attendance record and team focus to meet and exceed customer expectations
- Quality focused, with ability to follow all personal and food safety requirements
