About the Opportunity
An iconic luxury hotel located in the heart of New Orleans' historic French Quarter is seeking an experienced Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing to lead revenue generation and strategic sales initiatives. This landmark property offers upscale accommodations, exceptional dining, and premier meeting and event space, serving both leisure and business travelers from around the world.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented Director of Sales & Marketing who has successfully led sales efforts for 500+ room full-service hotels . This individual will be responsible for the overall sales strategy and performance of the property, overseeing room revenue, banquet and catering sales, meeting and event business, and room rental revenue while maximizing profitability through effective revenue and yield strategies.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to maximize room, banquet, catering, and meeting revenue.
Lead all sales efforts across corporate, group, association, leisure, and convention market segments.
Drive revenue performance through forecasting, budgeting, yield strategies, and business mix optimization.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, meeting planners, travel partners, and industry organizations.
Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and demand patterns to identify new business opportunities.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Sales & Marketing team while fostering a high-performance culture.
Oversee sales action plans, promotional initiatives, client events, and networking opportunities to increase market share.
Ensure accountability for meeting budget, forecast, and revenue performance goals across all sales segments.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of Director of Sales & Marketing experience in a full-service luxury hotel .
Required: Experience leading sales for a 500+ room hotel .
Proven track record of exceeding revenue goals and driving market share growth.
Strong knowledge of hotel revenue management, forecasting, yield strategies, and business planning.
