Job Description
Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

Assignment Details

Contract length is 13 weeks with 36 guaranteed hours offered.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience required.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• BLS certification required.
• Skills in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, and management of dysrhythmias.
• Knowledge of blood product administration and peripheral line care.
• Preferred skills include IV insulin protocols, managing cardiac drips without titration, and CPAP/BiPAP management.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with various diagnoses including COPD, CHF, and diabetes.
• Monitor telemetry and manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and blood products as ordered.
• Implement isolation precautions and maintain safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Complete necessary documentation and participate in unit orientation and training.

Compliance / Notes

Time off requests will be reviewed and may or may not be accommodated. On-call requirements may apply during low census days. The unit will require floating as needed. Orientation is 24-36 hours with classes each day in the first week.
