Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week. Every third weekend required (8 shifts per 13-week contract). Self-scheduling model.

Highlights:

• 12-bed Med/Surg-Telemetry unit with average daily census of 8 patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6, providing manageable workload
• 13-week contract with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers welcome; local candidates accepted
• Diverse patient population including COPD, CHF, diabetes, infectious diseases, and typical med/surg cases
• Float as needed; on-call requirement only for low census situations (rare occurrence)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience required
• Active RN license (NC or Compact license accepted)
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Competency in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Proficiency in IV management, blood product administration, and peripheral line care
• Experience with CVA patients, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
• Preferred skills: IV insulin and heparin protocols, cardiac drip management (no titration), BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, wound care, and community hospital experience
• Must be available for hospital orientation during first week and complete pre-start modules (8-10 hours)
