RN - Homecare - West Cuyahoga CountyCleveland Clinic Home Care provides skilled nursing, social services and physical, occupational and speech therapy for patients returning home after a hospital stay, outpatient procedures or doctor's visit. Our home care team continues Cleveland Clinic's treatment at home. We provide short term intermittent acute care at home. Our nurses work autonomously meeting patients where they live. This requires strong assessment skills and critical thinking. We provide flexibility to the nurse and the patient when coordinating care within a team environment.As an RN, you will educate and follow the patient through a short-term intermittent recovery process. The skills needed to be successful in this role are below:Lab draws - peripheral sticks or central line drawsWound care - all types of wounds, measurements, documentation, wound vac experienceIV - IV insertion, how to administer IV antibiotics, IV push medications, central line experienceIn this role you will support the Western Cuyahoga County. Cities included but are not limited to:Cleveland, Parma, Brook Park, Old Brooklyn, Lakewood, Parma Heights and others as neededCleveland Clinic Home Care provides a generous in-depth orientation that is tailored to each individual and their experience level. This position is eligible for student loan repayment.Caregivers in this role will work from 8:00am to 5:00pm. This role has on call requirements, once per week.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate from an accredited school of Professional NursingCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of automobile insurance coverage with $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident coverage.One year of current experience as an RNOne year of experience in an acute Medical/Surgical or Home Care settingPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)Familiarity with complex medical treatmentsExperience working in homecare, med/surg, ICU and/or ED areasPhysical Requirements:Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.Must be ambulatory and able to drive to patients' homes, able to climb stairs, pull, push, and facilitate movement of the patient.Must be able to read, write and communicate with patients.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Key words: Home Health RN, Private Duty Nurse, Hospital at Home Nurse, Case Manager, Home Care Nurse, Infusion Nurse, Clinical Nurse SpecialistThe policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
