Unarmed Security Officer - Cruise Operations

Job Overview
American Guard Services (AGS) is seeking Unarmed Security Officers for Cruise Operations at the Port Everglades/Cruise Terminal area in Fort Lauderdale, FL. We are looking for professional, customer-focused individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing exceptional security services.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule
- Sunday through Saturday
- Various shifts available
- Full-time opportunities
- Flexible scheduling based on operational needs
Responsibilities
- Provide security services for cruise terminal operations
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas
- Verify credentials and control access points
- Assist passengers, visitors, and terminal personnel
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity
- Complete incident reports and daily activity logs
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and security concerns
- Deliver outstanding customer service at all times
Requirements
Valid Florida Security Guard License (Guard Card)
Valid TWIC Card
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent customer service abilities
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to work in a busy port environment
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Cruise Operations Security experience
- Cruise terminal or port security experience
- Leadership experience
- Strong customer service background
- Experience interacting with large volumes of passengers and visitors
