Opportunity:

RN - Trauma Nurse

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day/evening shifts with every other weekend and some holidays required
• Option to work 4x12 shifts if interested
• Christmas Eve and Christmas Day shifts are required
• Patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility - locals not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required within the last 3 years
• Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICU experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Wisconsin RN or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher - two attempts allowed
• Adult Telemetry Exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole, with no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions
• Pediatric Telemetry Exam requires identification of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia
• Care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients in a 24-bed ICU
• Provide care for patients with diagnoses including ARDS, ECMO, post-code care, sepsis, GI bleeds, post-op management, liver transplant, vascular surgery, and trauma
• Utilize advanced life support therapies including ECMO and continuous dialysis
• Serve as an emergency responder throughout the hospital
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and more
