Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive assessments for new patients to understand their emotional and behavioral health needs. Collaborating with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Providing individual, couples, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to meet client needs. Maintaining detailed and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, in compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines. Facilitating group therapy sessions when needed, creating a safe and supportive environment for participants to share and grow. Communicating effectively with families and support systems regarding treatment goals and discharge planning to ensure a well-rounded support network for clients. Patient Population / Client Focus Your key focus will be on working with a diverse population, including individuals dealing with various behavioral health challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions. You will have the fulfilling role of guiding clients toward recovery and helping them build resilience through comprehensive therapy services. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field. Current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an outpatient mental health setting. Strong organizational skills with the ability to self-manage and work independently. Proficient in using computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office, for record-keeping and communication purposes. Preferred Experience While not required, experience in a community health setting and familiarity with teletherapy platforms will be beneficial. Additional certifications in specific therapeutic methods (e.g., CBT, DBT, family therapy) will be viewed favorably.
