Job Content It is with you, that industry can do it! We are currently seeking a assembler, who has the same desire to prove that industry can do it! At Fives we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. Your role will be to: Trouble-shoot malfunctions and provide preventive and corrective maintenance for our site equipment. Suggest actions for improvement and to enhance reliability. In addition, update the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) by entering maintenance operation reports. Follow the procedures and rules for health and safety. At Fives Machining Systems, Inc and under the direction of the manager, you will join the assembly team. Since we are located in Fond du Lac, it will be easy for you to reach us by car, bike, etc..... If this is you, come join us, too ! We are seeking someone who has a level of experience in mechanical work and can read blueprints and the use of micrometers. If you are a self-starter then we are eager to change the world with you! Requirements Retrieve and study assembly instructions, detailed part prints, assembly layouts and parts lists. Gather parts/units, tools and/or material from inventory using a supplied material list. Prepare parts prior to assembly. This includes small sized unit assembly work. Work with engineering/supervision to identify issues and formulate corrective actions to assure product quality Test precision units and validate quality specifications are achieved Assemble machines/units to current assembly procedures, layouts and parts lists. horizontal and vertical straightness and flatness squaring and parallelism Including but not limited to feeler gauges, dial indicators, Vernier calipers, gage blocks, mechanical gages, autocollimator Use small hand tools (taps, reamers, files, etc.) for assembly process. Use power tools, both air and electrically powered for assembly process including drill press, sanders, and grinders Perform machine set-up/verification of customer's order specifications by inspection and/or measuring: Perform dimensional geometric checkouts of larger units or sub-assemblies on granite Perform proper machine foundation set-ups.
