You will play a vital role not only in the efficient operation of our practice but will also help to shape patient experience through your friendly, professional, and attentive interaction with each patient. You will coordinate the flow of patients through the office, assist patients with payments, help with billing and insurance information, schedule appointments, maintain patient charts as well as various other administrative tasks./ppThe Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients and completing their check-in and check-out process. The Receptionist will enter new patient information into the computer and review patient charts for accuracy and verification, ensure all signatures have been obtained, and collect payments as necessary./ppDuties/Responsibilities:/pulliGreet each patient in a pleasant and professional manner./liliScreen calls, schedules appointments and referrals./liliTake accurate, concise phone messages./liliEnter complete patient demographics when making appointments./liliEvaluate chart data to verify all information has been received, completed and signed./liliCheck-in and check-out patients./liliTrack patients in the reception area and communicate with patients as needed./liliProactively collect patient payments./liliUpdate product inventory weekly./liliAlways treat patients with dignity and empathy./liliFulfill inventory orders./liliAs closer run end of day reports balance payment totals./liliDistribute incoming reports and correspondence in patient charts./liliEnsure all phone messages, faxes, and interdepartmental mail are addressed immediately./li/ululliAssist other staff as needed./liliOther duties assigned as deemed necessary by management./li/ulh2Qualifications/h2pEducation and Experience:/pulliHigh School Graduate or GED (required)./lili1-3 years recent experience as a Medical Receptionist in a clinical or surgical setting (preferred)./liliPrevious experience in Dermatology (preferred)/li/ulpSkills/Abilities:/pulliExcellent customer service and communication skills./liliKnowledge of HIPAA standards./liliMust be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously./liliExcellent organizational and time management skills./liliAbility to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment./liliDetail-oriented/liliWorking knowledge of multi-line phone system./liliAble to operate standard office equipment (i.e. computer, fax, copier, scanner, etc)/liliIntermediate computer skills and experience in EMR utilization/liliFluent in English./liliAbility to sort and file materials correctly alphabetically or numerically./liliAbility to travel to and provide coverage for other local offices as-needed./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliSitting, some standing, stooping and reaching./liliManual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard./liliCorrectable vision to 20/20 and hearing within a normal range for telephone contacts./liliLifting and carrying up to 30 pounds./li/ulh2Licensure/Certifications/Education/h2pFull time employees (defined as regularly working at least 30 hours per week) are eligible for the following benefits:/pulliMedical, Dental Vision insurance effective 1st of the month after date of start/liliShort-term and long-term disability, Voluntary life (employee, spouse, and child), Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity Effective the 1st of the month following date of hire/liliCompany provided Basic Life/ADD insurance/liliPaid time off/liliPaid holidays/liliRetirement Savings account/liliEmployee discount on cosmetic services and products/li/ul/div
