Field Support Supervisor - Multifamily Regional Maintenance

Weinstein Properties has been family-owned and operating for over 70 years, which matters more than it might sound. Self-managed, vertically integrated ownership means decisions don't run through a five-layer approval chain, and the people doing the work are accountable to the same company that cuts the checks. They own and operate apartment communities across Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia. This role sits within their Asset Management and Support team and covers the Dallas-Fort Worth portfolio. The Field Support Supervisor title is accurate to what the job actually is: field-heavy, regional, and technical. You're out on properties regularly, not reviewing reports from a home office. The work involves assessing maintenance operations across multiple communities, helping site teams prioritize and scope projects, evaluating vendors, and managing capex work from bid to completion. You'll also help bridge the gap when the Construction Group hands a project off to the property team, which is one of the more genuinely useful things a regional support person can do. That transition is where documentation falls apart and institutional knowledge gets lost. Doing it well requires someone who can read a set of blueprints and also explain what's on them to a maintenance tech who's never seen a set before. The technical depth here is real. Weinstein is specifically looking for experience with exterior building repairs, water intrusion, erosion issues, and the ability to write coherent work requirements. Vendor management is a meaningful part of the job. You're not just approving invoices. You're evaluating scope, pushing back on cost reasonableness, and actively recruiting quality contractors to bid projects, which in a competitive DFW market takes more effort than it used to. The strongest candidates in this kind of role are the ones who've been the person on-site long enough to know what maintenance teams actually need versus what they say they need, and who've also spent enough time on the regional side to translate that into project scope and vendor accountability. EPA Universal certification (or at minimum Type I and II) is required, along with a valid driver's license and five or more years of hands‑on multifamily maintenance experience, at least three of which in a regional or multi-site support capacity. What separates a good regional maintenance supervisor from a great one is usually vendor relationships and credibility with site staff. If technicians and service managers don't trust your read on a problem, the support role breaks down fast. This position requires both.
