Senior Staff Accountant

TMS Financial is currently looking to hire a full-time Senior Staff Accountant for our Green Bay office.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven understanding of general bookkeeping, payroll and accounting principles and industry compliance
- Proficient skills in QuickBooks software with QuickBooks Online Certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a desire for greatest degree of accuracy
- Ability to work closely with tax preparers to ensure financials are accurate and tax-ready. Assist with year-end adjustments and identify potential tax issues or opportunities during financial reviews
- 5+ years of experience in accounting industry with emphasis on public accounting
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
Responsibilities:
- Handle accounting tasks including data entry, payroll, financial review, and various other accounting related tasks for multiple clients
- Onboard new clients and set up QuickBooks Online, including chart of accounts, bank-feeds and integrations. Troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to staff and clients
- Client interaction including phone calls, emails, and some face-to-face or virtual meetings
- Research and resolve client concerns, questions, or requests to resolution
- Effectively manage and prioritize accounting workflows
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Maintain advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Maintain firm standards, deadlines and documentation procedures
- Ensure best practices are followed for accuracy and consistency
- Create, enhance, and maintain various standard operating procedures, database projects and other special projects as directed
