Quality Inspector position at a medical device manufacturing facility responsible for visually inspecting labels, components, and packaging to approve or reject production lots. Role involves using precision measuring instruments, maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring compliance with FDA regulations in a second-shift manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect labels, product identifiers, pouches, and packaging components against specifications
- Collect samples and conduct testing using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
- Record inspection data and make accept/reject decisions based on quality standards
- Maintain accurate quality control records, documentation, and organized filing systems
- Conduct spot audits in manufacturing areas and assist in training new QA inspectors
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in FDA-regulated manufacturing quality inspection preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and written specifications in English
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and testing equipment
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and statistical process control
- Heavy vehicle driver's license highly preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
Compensation: $10.50 - $13.46 USD hourly
