Respiratory Therapist - PRN

Role Summary: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings. They are responsible for implementing treatment plans, educating patients and families, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure quality, safe, and evidence-based care. The role involves independent decision-making, mentoring new staff, and participating in performance improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered respiratory therapies and assessments Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, and analyze arterial blood gases Educate patients, families, and staff; assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures Promote safety, accurate documentation, and quality improvement practices Support a positive team environment and contribute to staff development Qualifications & Skills Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred) Valid NBRC-RRT and Respiratory Care Professional licenses Certifications in BLS, ACLS (required upon hire) 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
