Role Overview This position involves leading and managing the daily operations of a healthcare shift, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. The incumbent provides clinical support, participates in patient assignments, and promotes quality improvement (QI), patient safety, and customer service initiatives. They serve as a resource for staff, physicians, patients, and families, assisting with medication administration, equipment management, and staff training. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate shift activities, ensuring safe patient care and effective team communication. Evaluate staff performance and assist with onboarding, training, and competency assessments. Monitor equipment functionality and inventory, ensuring resources are available for optimal patient care. Support quality initiatives, data collection, and process improvements to enhance patient outcomes. Maintain current clinical knowledge and promote professional development among team members. Conduct patient rounds to assess care quality, address issues, and implement corrective actions. Participate in interdisciplinary planning and communicate effectively with leadership. Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy preferred. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP. Minimum of two years of clinical experience in critical care areas such as ICU, CVICU, BURN, NICU, or Emergency Departments. Strong leadership, communication, clinical, and organizational skills.
