We have an exciting opportunity for Medical Imaging Techs to join our team.An ideal candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, both independently and on a team. This is a full-time position (36 hours/week) structured as three, convenient, 12-hour shifts. This is an onsite position at Niskayuna EmUrgentCare sites, with some, reimbursable, travel required.Primary Job Responsibilities:* Properly identify and prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform diagnostic x-ray exams following established protocols and procedures for patient care and safety in an outpatient urgent care setting* Accurately select the correct patient, anatomy and protocols to complete exam* Confirm, schedule and log completed radiologic procedures in computer and site schedules* Clean and maintain equipment and examination rooms at all times* Collect vitals and brief medical history of patients* Directing patients to examination rooms* Ensuring rooms are setup for efficient patient care* Ordering and re-stocking of medical supplies* Team support to medical providers and front deskEducation Requirements:* Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration* Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist requiredExperience:* Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic x-ray procedures* Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and body mechanics necessary to safely perform x-ray exams* Basic knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology* Ability to communicate clearly and provide routine diagnostic imaging procedures to children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients with consideration to cultural and developmental stages during the exam process* Multi-tasking as a team player in a fast-paced setting* Excellent customer service skillsCompetitive Benefits and Perks:* Paid hands-on training* Opportunities for growth within the Albany Medical Center family* Medical Coverage (CDPHP), Dental and Vision plans available* Located on main public transportation lines* Paid Time Off* Tuition Reimbursement* AMC Pension Plan and 403B RetirementAbout Albany Med*Best of the Capital Region*Albany Med is at its best when our community needs us most.
