As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Reporting in Newport News VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents and support access activity with strong communication and customer this role you will be part of a caring team that values agility reliability innovation and integrity while helping create a secure and welcoming environment.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients visitors and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observed conditions and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas shipping and receiving zones parking areas and the exterior perimeter with attention to unusual activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees contractors and visitors helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting established access control practices for the location.
• Support daily operations at a manufacturing and industrial location by observing for workplace hazards equipment issues and/or maintenance-related concerns and communicating findings through proper reporting channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
