Veterinary Technician Supervisor - Day or Evening Shift in ECC Department

Job Title
Full Time Day or Evening Shift(2:30pm-1am), Rotating Weekends, not major holidays. $2.50/hr additional shift differential for evening shift. Qualified candidates will have previous supervisory or leadership experience and experience working in emergency veterinary medicine. Responsibilities:
- Participate in the hiring, training, and coaching and performance evaluation process for all ECC Service Staff.
- Create work schedules, prepare payroll, and process personnel records for Inpatient Service Staff.
- Must have a working knowledge of complex diseases in order to provide nursing care and develop and train member of the ECC team.
- Assist clinicians in triaging, stabilizing, and providing high quality nursing care to patients and offer instruction and demonstration to veterinary students, interns, residents, and other technicians.
Compensation: Starting at $35-$39 hourly, VTS starting at $43/hr. Please note that candidates with additional experience or credentials may be eligible for compensation aligned with their qualifications.

MSPCA-Angell West, a 24-hour emergency and referral satellite hospital in the west suburbs of Boston, was opened in early 2014 by Angell Animal Medical Center. Our hospital is over 20,000 square feet, and is located 10 miles west of Boston in Waltham.

Applicants must be a Certified Veterinary Technician within the state of Massachusetts to be considered for this position. 3 years: Minimum of 3 years of recent veterinary technician experience.
Preferred
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Experience with interviewing, scheduling, training, payroll and inventory is preferred.
