Aircraft Worker And Aircraft Mechanic

Aircraft Worker - WG-8852-08:

• Performs overall maintenance, servicing, cleaning, and record keeping for all nonpowered AGE equipment.
• Accomplishes intermediate and organizational level maintenance on aircraft dual rail and aerial delivery systems.
• Inventories, controls, stores, and maintains DD Form 780 and alternate mission equipment for assigned aircraft.
• Maintains assigned vehicles, oxygen, and nitrogen carts.
• Accomplishes and reviews all nonpowered AGE and DD Form 780 equipment to assigned equipment and personnel.
• May assist aircraft mechanics in flightline/inspection maintenance activities.
• Complies with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations.
• Prepares for, and participates in, various types of readiness evaluations.
• May perform additional duties such as structural firefighting, aircraft fire, crash, and rescue; security guard; snow removal; load/unload munitions; operate heavy equipment; maintain facilities and equipment; or serve as a member of a natural disasters or civil emergencies team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Aircraft Mechanic - WG-8852-10:

• Performs inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft.
• Troubleshoots and performs unscheduled maintenance on assigned and transient aircraft.
• May be required to perform user and organizational level maintenance on assigned support equipment.
• Provides data for aircraft maintenance historical records.
• Instructs, directs, and assigns maintenance repair tasks to drill status guard members.
• Complies with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations.
• Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations.
• May perform additional duties such as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operator, maintenance of facilities and equipment, or serve as a member of a team to cope with natural disasters or civil emergencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
