As a member of the Health Support Center (HSC) team, you’ll support those that are in our facilities who are interfacing and providing care to our patients and community members to positively impact our mission of making communities healthier.More about our team The Director, State Governmental Relations is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the company's state government relations program and developing strategies to maintain a favorable environment for the healthcare industry.How you’ll contribute A Director, State Governmental Relations who excels in this role will:Develop and implement state legislative priorities and strategies in compliance with Lifepoint strategiesDirect communication and coordination with the appropriate Division Presidents to ensure that government relations efforts and activities support and enhance operational goalsDirect supervision and management of state lobbyists (contractors)Serve as liaison and primary contact with key state healthcare trade associations to ensure the company's views and priorities are representedDevelop and manage key state legislative issues by soliciting analysis of legislative, regulatory proposals from appropriate company departments and personnelCoordinate the company's grassroots call to action program to ensure the views and priorities of the company are appropriately communicated to various state legislative bodies and trade associationsManage political action committeesRegular and reliable attendancePerform other duties as assignedWhy join usWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
