As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Guest Relations in Kansas City, MO , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, visitor management practices, and appropriate emergency response activities for an educational location.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting students, staff, families, and visitors, checking identification and/or visitor credentials, and reporting unusual activity or concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with school personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Answer phones, support front desk communications, and help direct guests to the appropriate office or contact while maintaining awareness of security-related protocols.
• Complete required logs, reports, and front desk records related to arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other security-related activity at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
