Product Owner - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 5+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking a highly motivated Product Owner to support the delivery of strategic business and technology capabilities within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB). This role is ideal for an individual with experience in wholesale banking who enjoys working closely with software engineering teams to turn business needs into executable requirements. The Product Owner will partner with Product Managers, business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to define solutions, manage the backlog, create ready-to-build requirements, support Agile ceremonies, and ensure successful execution of roadmap objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Own and maintain the team backlog, translating features and epics into well-defined user stories
• Develop clear acceptance criteria and business rules, ensuring stories meet Definition of Ready standards
• Facilitate backlog refinement sessions with engineering and business partners
• Partner with Scrum Masters and Engineering Leads to support sprint planning and execution
• Gather, document, and refine business requirements from stakeholders
• Serve as the primary day-to-day product contact for assigned delivery teams, answering implementation questions and clarifying business rules
• Partner with Product Managers and senior stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and communicate delivery progress
• Consider regulatory, compliance, audit, and operational risk requirements during solution design

Requirements:

• 4 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience
• 3 years of Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Agile delivery experience
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing Agile backlogs
• Experience working directly with software engineering teams in large enterprise technology organizations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desired skills:

• Experience in Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking, Treasury Management, Capital Markets, Lending, or CRM platforms
• Familiarity with wholesale or institutional banking processes and the lending lifecycle
• Exposure to platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps, Salesforce / nCino, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or LoanIQ
• Experience working in regulated financial services environments
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows, and enterprise architecture concepts
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban product delivery practices

Pay range: $43.13 - $51.13 per hour
