Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Department: Materials Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will help ensure accurate inventory control, timely shipment and receipt of goods, and a safe, organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with cycle counting and maintaining accurate inventory levels Audit and verify inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy Safely operate warehouse equipment (including forklift/hi-lo after certification) Use barcode scanners and shipping systems (e.g., UPS) accurately Load outbound shipments and verify products against shipping documentation Unload incoming materials, verify quantities, and store in proper locations Maintain organized and clean warehouse space Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation is followed Stage, label, and prepare outgoing shipments for delivery Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures (including OSHA requirements) Support general warehouse operations and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1–3 months of related warehouse or logistics experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Basic reading, writing, and communication skills Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using standard units and measurements Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Skills & Abilities Solid organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands‑on environment Commitment to safety and quality standards Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Occasional climbing, balancing, and sitting Strong visual abilities, including depth perception and close/distance vision Warehouse setting with exposure to moving machinery Why Join Us?
