Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist for a hospital cancer center requiring Ohio licensure, ARRT-T certification, and experience with TrueBeam and Aria systems.

Job Details

• Radiation Oncology department in a teaching hospital cancer center,
• Adult and pediatric acute care and outpatient populations,
• Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8.5-hour shifts (10:30am-7:00pm) with a 30-minute lunch break,
• 10-hour shifts during holiday weeks to meet 40 guaranteed hours,
• No on-call or weekend requirements,
• Uses Varian TrueBeam LINACs, Halcyon, and Aria version 15,
• Vision RT or OSMS experience preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio state license required if applicable,
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy Technology,
• BLS and ACLS certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, 5+ years preferred,
• Teaching hospital experience preferred,
• Proficiency with TrueBeam, Halcyon, and Aria required,
• Vision RT experience preferred but not required,
• Experience with DIBH and treatment of head and neck cancers preferred,
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program,
• 2 professional references required, at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; Charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references accepted,

Additional Information

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments to a diverse oncology patient population including benign brain tumors, craniospinal, Graves disease, prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials, and various leukemias and lymphomas,
• Perform stereotactic radiosurgery, total body and total skin irradiation, and respiratory gating procedures,
• Utilize CBCT/kV/mV imaging and beam modifying/positioning techniques,
• Scrub attire required: black pants with any top,
• First week includes onboarding shift from 8:00am-4:30pm,
• Open to first-time travelers with experience in a large department utilizing Aria and TrueBeam systems,
• Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed urgently upon contract signing,
• Locals accepted at the same rate,
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility,
• RTO must be submitted with contract and limited to 7 days or less
