Starting salary: $70,304 DOE OVERVIEW OF POSITION: The Program Supervisor provides day to day supervision and work direction for the assigned Community Support program/service line, including supervision of Coordinated Life and Coordinated Family Support services (CLS/CFS) staff. Exercises independent judgement and discretion in supervising day to day and resolving operational issues. Conducts quality assurance, compliance, staffing coordination, referrals/intake and participant service continuity. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensures the health and safety of program participants by implementing and monitoring standards, guidelines, and services for the assigned program/service line. Ensures associate responsibilities are clearly defined and understood. Provides supervision, guidance, and assistance to CLS/CFS staff on complex cases and provides back-up support as designated and needed. Participates in the hiring, performance evaluations, corrective action, promotion and termination recommendations. Acts as the point of contact for incoming referrals; conducts intakes, evaluates staffing ratios, staffing coverage to ensure service continuity within established guidelines. Monitors quality assurance and compliance for assigned programs, including file reviews, satisfaction surveys, field observations of team members. Escalates concerns as needed. Develops, and coordinates staff development activities and training plans for assigned associates. Conducts training to associates as required including prepares instructional materials for monthly staff meetings, and recruits external presenters as needed. Provides program orientation to new hires. Ensures all required documentation adhere to internal and external guidelines set forth by program design. Monitors billing processes and funding authorizations to support continuity of staffing hours and service delivery. Conducts outreach activities to recruit referrals; performs public speaking and participates in networking activities. Collaborates with administrative staff, agency departments, including Payroll, Information Technology, Administration, Human Resources, and Risk Management to resolve operational issues and support program service delivery. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field required. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the field, including at least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a related field. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and/or co-occurring mental health, soci-economic stressors. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position. EXEPECTED NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS: (3) Spclst 3, (24) Spclst 2 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Knowledge of and ability to interpret, implement, and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, including Title 17 and Title 22 requirements, and service delivery systems. Strong administrative and leadership skills. Knowledge of community resources and agencies that serve individuals with mental illness, developmental and/or physical disabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook, and video conferencing platforms. Ability to learn and effectively use an iPad and other assigned technology devices. Sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess participant’s needs and analyze feedback from other service delivery systems to determine the best individualized service plans. Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills, with the ability to maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail; multitask, establish priorities and manage time, meet deadlines, perform duties under time constraints, and to be flexible and adapt to changing work demands. Ability to facilitate meetings and deliver effective presentations and public speaking engagements. Ability to travel locally with own reliable transportation to conduct home visits in areas served by designated Regional Center, with own reliable transportation via the use of personal vehicle and attend community and in-service meetings. Must pass all drug testing required by ESSC. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ADA: Carrying/Lifting: Occasional / 0-10 lbs. Standing: Occasional / Up to 3 hours per day. Sitting: Constant / Up to 8 hours per day. Walking: Occasional / Up to 3 hours per day. Travel: Some local travel. Repetitive Motion/Activity: Keyboard activity, telephone use, writing. Visual Acuity: Ability to view computer monitor and read newsprint. Environmental Exposure: Work is performed in both office and community-based settings.
