Position Summary: We are hiring multiple Department Faculty for our Dallas Clinical Psychology program. The individuals who fill this position will teach either Clinical courses such as assessment, intervention, supervision, and practicum seminars or: Foundational courses that help students understand the science underlying clinical practice—including social, cognitive-affective, and behavioral bases of behavior, research methods and data analytic strategies used to build that knowledge. Over the course of the three-semester academic year, faculty members may be responsible for teaching, student advisement, chairing dissertations, professional service to the School and community, administration, and optional research/scholarship. While program faculty members are fundamentally responsible for teaching in accordance with The Chicago School’s workload policy, adjustments to an individual’s teaching load may be made by the Department Chair based on program needs first and individual talents and abilities second. Faculty members are recommended to the Vice President of Academic Affairs for hire by the Department Chair. This is a hybrid position requiring faculty to be on campus three days per week. Principle Duties include, but are not limited to: Teaching Advising Scholarship Professional Service Service to Institution Position Qualifications: A Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited clinical or counseling psychology program is required for candidates who will teach coursework that maps onto the profession-wide competencies (e.g., assessment, intervention, consultation). Applicants who will teach scientific or foundational courses within the discipline-specific knowledge (DSK) areas must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field to ensure appropriate expertise for teaching research, foundational science, and related content. Current license required if applicable; Texas licensed (or license-eligible within one year) as a psychologist. Teaching experience of at least 5 years preferred.
