Staff Accountant

STAUFF is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support key accounting and financial reporting functions. This position is responsible for assisting with month-end and year-end close activities, preparing account reconciliations, supporting the annual audit process, and contributing to various accounting projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and supporting schedules. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner. Research and resolve reconciling items, variances, and discrepancies as needed. Support the year-end audit process by preparing audit schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to auditor requests. Assist with financial reporting, account analysis, and internal reporting requirements. Maintain accurate accounting records and support compliance with company policies and internal controls. Participate in special projects and ad hoc accounting or finance assignments as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Up to five years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment. Experience preparing bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting close activities preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems; experience with SAP and Power BI is a plus. Team-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing business needs.
