Nurse Residency Program: Float Pool Track

Overview Senior Nursing Students, Nurse Graduates, and new RN’s are invited to apply for the ChristianaCare Nurse Residency Program – Float Pool Track. The 12‑month program combines educational components with up to 18 weeks of preceptor‑led clinical experience on the medical, surgical, and step‑down units at Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals. The Float Pool spans 40 nursing units that provide a wide variety of complex diagnoses. Training includes ACLS, dysrhythmia, and step‑down competencies. Upon completion, residents will float between Wilmington and Christiana across medical, surgical, step‑down, and transitional care units. Requirements Graduating from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred) BLS required Less than 12 months of nursing experience by program start Eligible for Delaware license as a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse Compensation & Benefits The position offers a flat rate of $38.61 per hour plus any applicable differentials. This rate reflects ChristianaCare’s good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual salary depends on individual factors including skills and experience.
