Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Los Angeles, California 90034
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 19, 2026
• End Date: February 20, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,530–$2,660
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown / Stepdown Unit

Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent Registered Nurse experience within the past 3 years
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state where care is provided
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac rhythm recognition and cardiac monitoring
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a cardiac stepdown unit
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and identify changes in condition
• Recognize and interpret cardiac rhythms and promptly communicate clinically significant findings
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to established standards of care
• Monitor patients requiring progressive cardiac and acute-care support
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery needs
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
