Overview St. Mary's General Hospital, located in Passaic, NJ, is a community-based tertiary medical center focused on providing quality, compassionate care. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Float RN can be assigned to two (2) or more units based on need and will maintain competency to practice in all units. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing care standards. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients on an assigned unit, communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology, and is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response. The RN maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Qualifications Current and valid state RN license Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Able to float to two (2) or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas Benefits St. Mary's General Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that allows employees flexibility to tailor benefits to their individual needs. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selection, considering skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
