Required Skills:

• Valid CVOR Certification and Surgical First Assistant (FA) certification
• Minimum of 1 year of surgical assisting experience, with proven proficiency
• Extensive knowledge of endoscopic vein harvesting
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures and instrumentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills:

• Additional certifications such as BLS, ABSA, NBSTSA, or NCCT
• Experience working in cardiac or vascular surgical settings
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and surgical documentation

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Certified Surgical First Assistant credential from a recognized organization
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a surgical setting, preferably in CVOR or vascular surgery

Other Requirements:

• Availability for flexible shifts, including day shifts and call rotations
• Willingness to participate in weekend rotationsevery other weekend required
• Call responsibilities primarily every third day (Monday Thursday, 3:30 PM 7:00 AM), with weekend on-call commitments
• Compliance with BLS and other applicable certifications
• Ability to travel for temporary assignments if necessary
