Manufacturing Engineer II - Exempt

Key Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
• Develop efficient and productive layouts for machines within plant facilities.
• Specify procedures and sequence of operations for tool and equipment fabrication affecting product performance.
• Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
• Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.
• Inspect machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and initiate corrective actions for product quality.
• Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control.
• Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
• Ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing electro-mechanical medical devices.
• Proficiency in process improvement and troubleshooting.
• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience required.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position in Billerica, MA, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. The candidate will support the Affera Capital Test product line.
