Nurse Tech- Observation

The Observation unit at Northwest Hospital is a 20-bed unit that cares for a diverse mix of diagnoses. Most patients stay on this unit for less than 24 hours. Nurses on this unit specialize in telemetry, stroke and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Summary: Functions under the supervision of the RN in a cooperative effort with the health care team to assist in providing a variety of patient care related duties. Maintains the standards of nursing care for al patients and implements the policies and procedures of the unit, Hospital and Nursing Department.
