Our client, a global law firm, is seeking a Systems Security Engineer to join their team!

This role focuses on security monitoring, incident response, threat detection, data protection, and security engineering within a complex enterprise environment.

Position Details

• Schedule: 4:00 PM–12:30 AM PT
• Work Arrangement: Remote/Hybrid; onsite as needed
• Locations: You must live in Southern California, Northern California, Texas, or Washington, DC

Responsibilities

• Monitor, configure, and respond to security alerts across multiple platforms.
• Analyze and correlate DLP, security event, and audit logs.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, including forensic investigations.
• Design, implement, and manage security hardware and software.
• Support data protection, access security, and threat mitigation.
• Collaborate with security and IT teams regarding risks, threats, and system configurations.
• Develop and maintain accurate security documentation and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in Security Engineering or Security Analysis.
• Experience with security monitoring, incident response, log analysis, and forensic investigations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of data protection and privacy requirements, including GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.
• Strong collaboration and professional judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Data Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Certifications:CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CEH, OSCP, GCIH, or GSEC.

Pay Rate: $55 - $74/hr
