Fiber Splicing Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Splicing Foreman with data center experience to lead fiber crews on large-scale projects. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing inside plant (ISP) fiber work, ensuring quality, production, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise fiber splicing crews on-site
• Perform and oversee fusion splicing (single-mode, ribbon fiber)
• Read and interpret fiber diagrams, prints, and MOPs
• Manage daily production and crew assignments
• Ensure all work meets data center quality standards
• Perform and review OTDR and light level testing
• Maintain splice logs and project documentation
• Troubleshoot fiber issues and connectivity problems
• Coordinate with project managers and other teams
• Enforce safety standards and protocols

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of fiber splicing experience
• Experience in a foreman or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of data center fiber systems (ISP)
• Ability to read schematics and test results
• Hands-on experience with fusion splicing and testing tools
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data center environments
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience with OTDR, power meters, and fiber testing
• Familiarity with structured cabling and rack environments

Work Environment

• Fast-paced data center environment
• May require long hours, night shifts, and weekends
• Work in tight spaces, overhead pathways, and raised floors
