Position Overview

Execute accurate, timely purchasing and follow every order through to receipt and resolution. Support senior buyers and the wider supply chain team with quotations, order tracking, supplier communication and clean procurement data. This is an early-career role for someone who acts quickly, checks the detail and takes responsibility for closing out tasks. We need people who have delivered in high-volume, fast-paced environments and can convert priorities into action in hours and days.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep purchasing moving throughout the day: issue approved orders promptly, chase acknowledgments and delivery updates and resolve or escalate exceptions before they become production delays.

• Convert approved requisitions and buying signals into accurate purchase orders using approved suppliers, correct part numbers, revisions, quantities, prices and delivery requirements.
\n
• Obtain and compare quotations for assigned purchases; flag price, lead-time and minimum-order differences for review before committing company funds.
\n
• Secure supplier acknowledgments, confirm promise dates and maintain a current open-order tracker and ERP purchasing records.
\n
• Follow up proactively on upcoming and overdue deliveries, obtain firm recovery dates and escalate material risks with clear facts and recommended next steps.
\n
• Coordinate with receiving, inventory, quality and accounts payable to resolve quantity discrepancies, missing documentation, returns and invoice mismatches.
\n
• Support supplier onboarding by collecting required documentation and routing it through approval; do not change supplier banking information outside the verified finance process.
\n
• Maintain orderly quotation, purchase order and supplier communication records, including approvals and applicable terms supplied by the responsible specialists.
\n
• Identify repetitive manual work and improve trackers, reporting and reminders using approved tools, while checking accuracy and protecting company and supplier information.

Qualifications

\n
• Experience supporting high-volume purchasing or manufacturing operations, managing many concurrent transactions accurately and responding promptly to changing priorities.
\n
• 1 to 3 years in purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing administration or a closely related role; relevant internships or strong transferable experience may be considered.
\n
• Exceptional attention to part numbers, revisions, quantities, dates and commercial details, with evidence of reliable follow-through.
\n
• Practical Excel skills and confidence learning ERP purchasing workflows, maintaining records and working with structured data.
\n
• Clear, professional supplier communication and the confidence to pursue commitments, challenge inconsistencies and escalate delays promptly.
\n
• Ability to prioritize a changing workload and complete routine transactions accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience with purchase orders, supplier quotations, goods receipts or invoice matching; familiarity with bills of materials, MRP or technical components.

Scope and Authority

Own assigned deliverables and supplier actions within approved budgets, purchasing limits and company policies. Manager titles in this description denote functional ownership and do not, by themselves, establish direct reports or independent contract-signing authority.

Working Expectations

Powerus operates in hours and days. Take ownership immediately, anticipate the next constraint and deliver without being chased. Make timely, evidence-based decisions; communicate blockers as they emerge with a proposed solution, an owner and a recovery time. Move workstreams in parallel and follow every commitment through to completion. Use approved AI and analytical tools to reduce manual work, verify outputs and protect sensitive information.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel to suppliers and company sites may be required according to operational needs.

Education and Relevant Experience

A relevant degree in supply chain, business, engineering or a related field is valued. Equivalent relevant professional, technical or military experience will be considered; demonstrated capability and delivery matter.

Accurate orders, prompt acknowledgments, current delivery information and clean records, with fewer overdue actions and timely escalation of supply risks.
