Front Desk Agent

Position Summary
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while efficiently managing front desk operations. This position requires a team member who is comfortable working independently, handling guest requests, and ensuring a positive guest experience throughout their stay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner during check-in and check-out.
• Handle guest reservations, room assignments, and payment processing.
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries promptly.
• Assist guests with requests, concerns, and service needs in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Coordinate guest requests with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other hotel departments.
• Maintain accurate guest records and update hotel systems as needed.
• Monitor hotel security procedures and ensure guest safety.
• Perform daily front desk tasks, including balancing reports and preparing shift documentation.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and seek appropriate resolutions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas.
• May assist with light housekeeping requests, delivery of guest items, or other hotel operational needs when required.
• Comfortable working alone during assigned shifts while maintaining hotel service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hotel, customer service, or front desk experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel management software.
• Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the hotel for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Ability to respond to guest requests throughout the property.
