The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is one of the largest regional colleges in Ohio. The college is in Blue Ash, Ohio fifteen miles north of the uptown campus, on 135 acres in a park-like setting. We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs, as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 5,100 students. We value excellent teaching and personalized student support to help students achieve their goals, whether the goal is to enter a career or to continue education.Job OverviewAdjunct Clinical faculty must be able to teach Medical/Surgical nursing in college lab, simulation, and clinical courses. Adjunct Clinical faculty members will be expected to (1) use our course management system (Canvas) and any textbook-specific systems; (2) hold regular office hours to meet with students and reply to student communications in a timely manner; and (3) participate in at least one professional development workshop per year. All classes may be offered day or evening. This position is not eligible for visa or green card sponsorship.Essential FunctionsOn a part-time basis, teach assigned undergraduate clinical, lab, and simulation coursework. Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework. Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities. Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related and student communications. Other related duties as assigned.Required EducationA BSN or higher from an approved registered nursing education program.Required Trainings/CertificationsCurrent, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio.Required ExperienceHave at least two (2) years of bedside experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse.Additional Qualifications ConsideredAt least one (1) year of teaching experience in a college setting.
