Automotive Technician

*Duties*

* Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across vehicle systems.
* Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and related systems.
* Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and alignments to ensure proper handling and safety.
* Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical system troubleshooting and repairs.
* Service and repair automotive electrical systems, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components.
* Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks.
* Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings.
* Collaborate with customers to explain repair procedures, provide estimates, and ensure satisfaction.
* Follow safety protocols and adhere to dealership or shop standards for quality assurance.
* Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology developments and manufacturer specifications.

*Requirements*

* Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
* Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and automotive electrical systems.
* Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration and vehicle alignment procedures.
* Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools and understanding vehicle systems such as powertrain, transmissions, and diesel engines.
* Mechanical knowledge of vehicle suspension systems, transmission repair, and general maintenance practices.
* Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical troubleshooting.
* Experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
* Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
* Valid mechanic certification or equivalent technical training in automotive repair.

Pay: $25.12 - $30.25 per hour
