About the Role
The Company is in need of a Vice President of Cash Operations to provide senior leadership in the oversight of cash and payments operations for corporate and commercial banking clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational delivery, process optimization, and people leadership across multi-location teams. This role requires a hands-on approach to operational management, combined with strategic oversight to ensure scale, resiliency, and consistent client outcomes. Key responsibilities include leading the day-to-day execution of cash and payments operations, managing teams involved in deposit and payment processing, establishing performance metrics and service standards, and serving as the senior escalation point for complex operational issues. The VP will also be tasked with identifying and mitigating operational risks, driving efficiency through process redesign and automation, and promoting a strong risk and control culture. Candidates for the VP of Cash Operations position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for business, finance, or accounting. A minimum of 7-10 years' progressive leadership experience in banking or financial services operations is required, with a strong background in cash management, payments, or deposit operations. The role demands a proven track record in operational risk, controls, and audit outcomes, as well as the ability to lead teams through change and operational transformation. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is proficiency with standard business productivity tools. The VP will also be expected to build and retain a high-performing leadership team and to partner with technology, product, and governance teams on system enhancements and operating model changes.
