Job Description

Job Summary:
The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides specialized patient care in a med/surg/telemetry setting, focusing on adult patients with cardiac or neurological conditions. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing services, monitoring patient vital signs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, perform IV insertions, and manage urinary catheters with precision.
• Monitor patients' cardiac and neurological status using standard telemetry equipment.
• Document patient care activities accurately within the electronic health record (EHR).
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and abnormal vital signs, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety protocols, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current registration.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute med/surg or telemetry experience, with preferred background in neuro or ortho.
• Proven ability to care for 4-6 patients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong skills in IV therapy, medication administration, and patient documentation.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered attitude.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
