Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ functional status and mobility; develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans to promote independence in activities of daily living and mobility.
- Provide evidence-based interventions to address functional deficits, maximize discharge potential, and support safe transitions of care.
- Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in a timely, compliant manner per professional and facility standards.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care, set goals, and optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning.
- Monitor patient progress, modify interventions as needed, and ensure patient and staff safety, including adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to align on expectations and therapy goals.

Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in good standing (as required for practice)
- Ability to work as a traveling OT in an acute care setting
- Experience in acute care OT preferred
- Ability to work day shifts in a fast-paced inpatient environment
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
