Job TitleJob DescriptionQualifications and Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or an equivalentTwo (2+) years minimum of experience operating mills and lathes with repair work on larger parts or aerospace components with open setup experience.Preferred: Completed machining training program resulting in a degree or certificateEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate expertise with all manual equipment (mills and lathes) within the machine shop including set up and operation, as well as basic preventative maintenancePerform thread repairs, boring, facing, and general machining operationsUse precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gages, indicators)Hold tight tolerances (±.0005 or as required)Fabricate tooling in support of in-house production needsFabricate bushingsInspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are metRead and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and other technical dataRequisite and maintain raw materials and toolsCoordinate with and support shop lead and team as necessary to meet production deadlinesKeep work area cleanOther duties as assignedSkills and AbilitiesDemonstrable experience with a broad array of manual machining equipment and non-digital precision measuring devicesProficient at reading blueprints, and technical drawingsAble to machine parts to within 0.0005" toleranceAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAttention to detailBasic shop mathProficient in reading, writing and speaking EnglishAbility to meet deadlinesMust exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work productMust have a strong work ethicAbility to work any shiftThis position is safety sensitive and adheres to DOT drug and alcohol regulationsPhysical RequirementsAble to lift up to 50 lbs.Stand for extended periods of time and occasional sittingDeductive ReasoningBend, twist and stretchReach with body, arms and/or legsManual DexterityFinger DexterityArm-Hand steadinessNear VisionMulti-limb CoordinationVisual Color discriminationPosition PPE RequirementsCompliance with safety and health protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment as required.If you would like to see your career take flight, apply today!Aersale is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
